Facebook Account Clone

Hello,
Many people’s accounts are currently being cloned. Some believe their accounts have been hacked, but there’s actually a difference between hacking and cloning.
Hacking means someone gains complete access to your account, including your password, and starts operating your account directly.
Cloning, on the other hand, means someone creates a new account using your photo and information, and then sends messages to your friends often asking for money.
If you want to prevent your account from being cloned, the simplest step is to make your Facebook friend list private.
That way, even if someone creates a fake account using your photo, they won’t be able to see your friend list, so they can’t send friend requests to your friends, which automatically reduces the chances of cloning.
Here are the simple steps to make your friend list private:
1. On a laptop: Click your profile photo at the top right.
On a mobile: Tap your profile photo at the bottom right and scroll down.
2. Go to Settings & Privacy, then open Settings.
3. On the left side, click “How people can find and contact you?”
4. On the right side, under “Who can see your friend list?”, select “Only Me.”

With this one simple step, you might help save some people from losing their money.
Thank you,
Subodh Anant Mestry
